You should always have 6 months of validity on a passport if you want to travel....so i'd go and get that renewed before you fly.

Yes, i have just renewed mine and it does have to have some time left on it but cant rem how much. But they incurr the extra say 3 mth on the new one so you dont lose it, and its expensive as well, they have all gone up.

No you do not. It has to be valid during your trip. Anyway, if you want to know for sure, in this link you will find the telephone number of all consulates in Mallorca so you will know for sure
