I've just received a second batch of Datawrite Titanium DVD+R DL discs. The first batch all recorded successfully, with no problems, from my Sony RDR-HX510, but inserting any of this new batch brings up a message saying that the disc is dirty (which it's not), and it cannot be formatted, and is therefore unrecordable.I can't think of any changes that have been made to the Sony set-up etc, so does anyone have any ideas what is going wrong?

Could be a duff batch of discs. Maybe I shouldn't say this, but we have seen a lot of units come back with said discs stuck inside - for some reason data gets corrupted and the unit gets stuck in read loop. All I can suggest is you return the discs and exchange them for another 'well known' brand.
It's not just Datawrite that cause problems by the way. If you can, stick with Sony discs - you'll be a lot safer!

Maybe there's an Area in the set-up Menu, that allows you to de-sensitize the way it reads discs and record regardless(Compensation sampling device).
Or maybe the Batch of Discs are Faulty-It does happen!!

in basic terms about all commercial DVD disks at the instantaneous are twin layer. And in basic terms about all DVD burners will burn twin layer disks. The capture is so that you are able to purchase unmarried layer sparkling DVDs for added or less 20 cents slightly. twin layer sparkling disks value between $a million and $10 slightly! the reason behind commercial disks having twin layer is so as that they have got room for all the extras that no man or woman watches. it really is a promoting ploy and not in any respect something else. in case you burn a twin layer disk it is going to play in any DVD participant providing it really is formatted proper.
