They are in my aquarium for 6 months. Three of them already died from a total of 24 all angelfishes . The turbulence is caused by my water filter/aerator which is set to high pressure.

Wow, how big is that tank? your problem here may not be the turbulent water but over crowding in the tank. Have you tested your water? How are the nitrates/ammonia . This could be your first problem.

If you have structures in your tank for your fish to get out of strong direct currents, your fish can rest, they don't need to SLEEP as you and I would. Have they all been huddeling in a specific corner of the tank? this would indicate a too STRONG a current. If they are randomly moving around the tank the current is fine.

Overloading a tank can cause water quality to down shift. Angles, even small ones need more than one gallon per fish to be healthy.

Test your water or take it to the store and have it tested and good luck. Remember fish die for various reasons, from stress to old age. Not every fish death can be explained via Yahoo answers.

You don't give much information here. How long has the tank been set up? Have you tested the water to see if any of the levels are too high or low? I am guessing that you should do some research on cycling a tank. Also, you may get some ideas from researching angelfishes themselves. Some fish like different kinds of water conditions than others.

One of the web sites I go to for advise is www.fishgeeks.com. They have a forum there where you can ask questions. You can get some real good advise there.

Try lowering the filter level. Another thing you should try is drops that will change the PH (acid) level of the tank's water. Change some of the water so there will be more oxygen. My Mom panics because of one of my gold fish. It will go upside down, and she will think it is dead, but its gills are still moving. She will tap on the tank and it will start swimming around again. Good luck with your fish.

They can sleep...

And you'd need a 265 gallon aquarium for 24 angelfish. I hope you aren't a stupid newbie who didn't research beforebuying and has them all in a 30 gallon tank.

they should be able to rest even with turbulent water. if they seem like they are always swimming in the against the current and going nowhere you might want to turn it down a little.
