your first name....is it spelled differently? If so, were you teased about it most of your life? Tell how you got your first name!

My first name is spelled differently, its spelled "Karon" how it got like that was when I was born, the nurse wrote it down wrong on the birth certificate (this is back in the late 50's) my mom didn't realize it was mispelled until it was too late, so she kept it like that, all growing up in grade school I got teased about it...I hated my name back then as no one spelled names differently back then. I like my name now.

I guess Kevin was a good name in 1960.
I'm the only one in the family, but I knew several at school.

Kelly spelled this way is the older version of Kelli, Kellie so it tells you I am one of the "older models" in my younger days kids would tease me that it sounded like a last name instead of a first name. But that is okay I turned out just fine.

My Dad gave my name. It sounds like a boys name so I got teased often and I also hated it before. But now, I have learned to love my name.

My name is Helen. My mom was going to name me Misty. Instead she let her mom name me. My grandmother gave me the middle names of two of her sisters. That is how I got the name Helen Marie.

My name is the combination of my Aunt's and Uncle's names because they wanted to adopt me when I was an infant after their first born died. My name was supposedly Marielle but they named me Jainie. (from my Uncle Jaime and Aunt Annie) JAI in Jaime and NIE in Annie thus JAINIE is formed! Nice, eh?

I am named after my aunt, Diann. She was born in the forties, and my grandmother was uneducated, and didn't know the correct spelling. I LOVE it!

My Father named me. He would never tell how or why he picked Cynthia..ugh!! I go by Cindy. It is more down to earth like I am. I have ran into a few who go by Cynthia who were either stuck up or snobs.
