I'm walking throughout the mall and see this handsome guy selling this special lotion. He stops me and says do u want to try this. He takes my hand and rubs the lotion on my hand. He's also giving me a shoulder massuage while this all going on. He asks me to smell my hand. I am just like o......k. I smell it. So, this guy I am holding out my hand to and he is rubbing this lotion on it and giving me this massuage. I decide to ask for his number. He's all 'what? what? no, no! Why?' he just gets reall uptight. It's like calm down. I am only asking if ur interested. He is just like totally frightened and uptight. I say 'are you sure?" He is like 'uuuhhh no thank you." What was going on with the high-strung behavior? I took the rejection comfortably and calmly. It looked like he seriously needed to be calmed down. He is the one who a couple of minutes ago was all over me. What do you all think about this HANDSOME guy might I add? I have moved on and have a new guy. just curious about this

lol gave him your phone #....that will tech him

really he was just doing his job I ran into the same situation with a guy at the mall who prays on everyone who walks by. The other day me and a friend where walking by and he started again with his sales pitch and he's Italian too so you can imagine the scenario. Anyway my friend got lured in and I told my friend not to go up to him because he's a total flirt and just wants your money. When he was done with massaging his hands my friend said I think he likes me. I tried telling my friend he wasn't gay, and he said I'm going to talk to him, I stood at a distance because I didn't want to hear it.The first few words I heard where "my wife" I started cracking up so hard I fell to the floor...really he was just doing his job gay straight it doesn't matter to them they want the money and do anything to get it.

Trouble is 'gay' is all about definition. As human beings we all operate on different levels of attraction from friendships to things we purchase in the supermarket. However people have 'comfort zones' which once broken can make them really unsettled! Therefore the guy on the lotion stall was using attraction to try and get a sale off you, but by you taking it one step further and asking him out you 'broke into' his comfort zome, therefore freaking him out.
I guess the answer is really simple once you take the restrictions of 'gay' and 'straight' out of the equation.

maybe he didnt realize that his love for his job would one day cause a scenerio like this.. good for you on handling the rejection..we never know when cases like those will happen, people sometimes dont realize that they portray themselves as a certain way and he should get manager for the work he does..A for the effort of selling lotion..you should have asked him to rub it a little lower..then he could have had a reason to freak on you like that.

Well, the guy sells lotion, so maybe he was just doing his job. Or maybe he saw that you were gay and decided to lay it on thick, so to speak. He may just be a good salesman.
