Wow, my Logic classes were a LOOONG time ago!

If I interpret your question correctly, you're asking what learning the rules and laws of formal logic taught me? For me, it allowed me to put into words the flaws and fallacies I often perceived in others' arguments. Often I could tell someone wasn't making a proper argument, but it was not something I could properly articulate.

Also, the distinctions between deductive and inductive reasoning fine-tuned my crap-detector! The amount of inductive reasoning that gets bandied about in popular science and news shows etc and passed off as viable logic is APPALLING.

Understanding the laws of logic and philosophy have improved my mind in many ways, and thusly improved my life.

Thought is the creation of mind and mind is collection of thoughts. There is nothing logical in creation of thought. It can weave around any subject, known and unknown, logical or illogical. You cannot relate thought to philosophy. But Thought can buildup philosophical
theories.

1. What you think about another person is really what you are yourself.
2. 85% of spontaneous thought is anxiety, worry, fear and otherwise negative.
3. Thought is repetitious in order to get your attention for you to really listen.
4. Thought is not about whom it seems. It is private and personal because your thoughts are really about YOU (not some other person that you project them on).
