First measure your upper ribcage, above the breasts and under the armpits. If the number is odd, round it up or down to the nearest even number. This will be your band size.
Next measure around the fullest part of the bust, across the nipples. You then subtract your bust measurement from your band size to find the cup size. The difference inches refers to the cup sizes below:
0 inch difference: AA cup
1 inch difference: A cup
2 inch difference: B cup
3 inch difference: C cup
4 inch difference: D cup
5 inch difference: DD cup (E)
6 inch difference: F cup
So for example, if you measure your upper ribcage as 34 inches and your bust measurement is 38 inches, you will be a 34D. If your upper ribcage is 32 inches and your bust measurement is 35 inches, you will be 32C.
There are other methods to find the band size, such as measuring under the bust and then adding numbers, usually between 3-5 inches, but this does not take into account whether a woman has a small or large back and assumes all women are built the same.

go to a store like Victoria's Secret and they will fit you ..... or measure your self where the bra would go and that is the number ie 32 and measure at the fullest part of yoru breast, if it is 2 inches more it is an A cup? 3 more a B 4 a C and 5 a D 6 a DD?????? I think at least and I am sorry if it was not totally right but .... you can just go get sized......at a store. ( I have been awake for 25 hours!)

In most better stores, ie Victoria's Secret, Lane Bryant, and the upper end deparment stores Dillards, etc should have someone in the lingerie fitting rooms that will measure you. Otherwise go to this link http://www.glamography.com/edu/fitbra.htm It is a little hard to measure yourself, but it is possible.
Good luck and happy hunting. Once you find the correct fit you will be a happy camper but be sure to try them on since no two brands tend to fit the same way just like everything else. Depending on the bra, I can wear anything from a 38D to a 42C. BTW if you go to Lane Bryant, thier bras tend to run a little small.

Make an appointment at a reputable bra store...not just an department store. There are places that have people who are trained properly and ex-termly knowledgeable about fittings.
You won't believe the difference once you are wearing a bra fit just for you!

you can go to alot of places and they'll measure for you. Try Victoria's Secret, Dillards or Frederick's of Hollywood (I'm sure other department stores do it, too)
Typically they measure the area just under your breasts...to get your size around. And then they measure around your breasts to get the cup size. and apparently many many women don't wear the right size.
At any rate, have a professional do it that way you know you're getting the right fit.

oh honey, go to lingerie store like Victoria's Secret or Frederick's of Hollywood, they will gladly do it for you free of charge... every bra manufacturer is slightly different
if you are shy just try on one close to the size you have been wearing and make sure new bra fastens on last hooks as bras wear they become looser and you need to be able to tighten them. make sure the bra covers the breast and at the sides near underarm and that none of your breast is under the wire
good luck!

measure under the breasts, straight across your back. add 3-5 to that to = an even number. measure around your breasts (the fullest part - you might need help. you lift while someone else measures). this is the number size.
subtract the 'under' number from the 'fullest' number. 1=a;2=b;3=c and so on. this is the cup size.
