I'm doing a project in school about Bulgaria, (containing things like maps of the country, exports etc)?

Question

and i wanted to know what problems there a re in Bulgaria, like shanty towns/slums, overpopulation/overcrowding, crime etc.

Tonight I seem to be writing mostly to you :) Here's a tip - one of Bulgaria's biggest problems is demography - we are the country with the lowest birth rate in Europe and practically we are a "disappearing species".
Also, why do you have to write about the problems of Bulgaria? Why not look for something good and interesting? Like the latest discoveries of Bulgarian archaeologists which place the Thracian civilisation on the European history map alongside with the Greek and the Roman civilisation. Do you know that Spartacus and Orpheus were Thracians? Do you know that Bulgarian members of Parliament and the BG church did not allow Bulgarian Jews to be deported to be killed in the camps during WWII? Do you know that yogurt originated in Bulgaria and the bacteria that turns milk into yogurt is called "lactobacrericus bulgaricus"?
