Ha. You are making the assumption that race is more than an oxymoron, but the whole concept of race is wrong. There is only one race, and it is human. Genetically there are fewer differences between any two individuals of the human race than there are between any two chimpanzees in any troupe in the wild.
Even with the additional genetic difference they have found in the human genome recently, there are fewer differences than found in two puppies born in the same litter with the same parent dogs than there are between any two people picked at random on the planet.
Race is a concept that was created by Europeans during colonization to allow them to justify invading and subjugating the 'native' peoples of those lands. Before then, if someone was of a different color, it never mattered, and they were accepted into the communities they settled in.
Color doesn't matter. The mixing of two people from different backgrounds, increases the viability or our Human race, it doesn't decrease it.
White, Black, Yellow, Red, Brown, we are all one people. The last other Race of man died out thousands of years ago, long before recorded history.
It is not a matter of being politically correct or right, it is a matter of ditching concepts that hold us, as Humans back from advancement.
For instance, if you have an English Ancestor, you have a 11% chance of having a black ancestor in the past 2000 years. If you are European, you have a 25% chance. Go figure. Humans, busy making distinctions where there are none.
Calling people Black, Yellow, White, is catering to the Racist views developed hundreds of years ago. Mulatto is thought to come from the Spanish word mulo which means mule. The idea is that someone who has African and European ancestry are a hybrid that is or should be sterile. It is a derogatory term which should not be used. For the reasons outlined above. There is no such thing as race. Mules are the product of horses and donkeys which are separate races of equines. But Humans are one Race.

I am bi racial...black and white...but I thought the term mulatto was derogatory. Whites way back when put the one drop rule into effect anyway. If you have one drop of black DNA/Blood then you were considered black. Some people like the term mulatto but the majority would take offense. It is like calling a person a MUTT like a mixed breed dog.

It's from the Spanish Casta system. It apparently means "little mule" or something like that, but words evolve. No one actually will go around calling people Mulatto and think "you're a little mule". Words EVOLVE. N3gro simply meant black in Spanish, then to the racial name for blacks... but now it's a "racist term", it's even censored on this site, I think - Test: *****. What does the word "f@g" mean now? What did it used to mean? See what I am getting at? So it ain't a racist term... at least through my eyes. Growing up, I had two friends who were half black, half white. Both of them identified as "Mulatto".

Its almost like saying mule... that's why mixed people hate it... mules are horses mixed with donkeys... and mules are generally seen as irritable and stubborn good for nothing.....the negative list of attributes continues....all in all, it derogatory.
