A motor uses electricity to turn. The most efficient motors use what is known as 3-phase power, 3 seperate voltages out of phase with each other 120° apart on the motor coil, which keeps the motor moving more efficiently.

An ENGINE converts the chemical energy of fuel into heat, thru combustion, thereby transforming heat energy into mechanical energy. (thermodynamics) A MOTOR DOES NONE OF THIS!!!!!!! A MOTOR is an ACTUATOR that converts fluid power or electrical energy into work.
A MOTOR has a rotor and a stator inside (like concentric circles)inside. The rotor /stator (depends...)creates induced electromotive force when we supply electric power resulting in movement of rotor(its central core).
An ENGINE is compraised of cylinders and pistons.when the fuel is burned up it pushes the pistons inside the cylider to move.

A motor is a electric driven machine which converts electricity in to kinetic(Mechanical)energy.
While an engine is the one which delivers mechanical energy from some fuel.
