Faust comes in lots of variations, mostly longer. The two famous ones, by Goethe and Marlowe, are plays. But there is "The Devil and Daniel Webster" by Stephen Vincent Benet if you are looking for a beat-the-devil story, and Manley Wade Wellman's John the Balladeer series is short stories with folk-tale themes, many of which involve overly ambitious people selling their souls.
