A gay male (GM) and straight male (SM) live together in the same house for more than a year.

Gay male is more dominant and high achiever and is older by about 5 years. Straight male is 22. GM is helping SM get a job placement through his corporate connections. GM gives him the best life possible; good clothes and comfortable life-style in a posh condo in town. GM is also helping him support SM's family.

But SM always keeps insulting GM? What do you think SM is very slow in appreciating the goodness of GM? He keeps on muttering the bad attitudes of GM. He seems to have little interest in in the good side of GM.

Why do you think SM always thinks that the GM is taking advantage of him?

The GM is sincere in helping the SM, in fact the GM offers his house for the SM without any payment.

Do you think the SM is taking advantage the GM because he is afraid of losing him?

It would appear from what your saying there is an unequal balance in the relationship and SM is totally taking advantage of it. I know it is diffcult for GM, but he has to know in certain situations you have to cut and run from a relationship for his own self respect, if nothing else. No relationship is worth having where there is no mutual respect. Besides what does GM really want from this relationship? If SM is straight then where is the relationship going. It is nice to help people out, but if SM is being disrespectful and potentially might get a girlfriend and move on - what then?
GM needs a reality check (not to judge the relationship) and think about what he really wants and to go out and get it.

hmmm..that is a weird story. Anyway, I doubt it is a case of the "SM" being afraid of losing the "GM". The GM should point out to the SM all of the things he has done for the SM, and would like him to refrain from insulting him. If this does not take place immediately, and the insults keep flying, the GM has every right to kick out the SM and move on with his life. Maybe the GM needs to find another GM to move in with him instead of an SM.

SM is an immature child who resents being a dependent yet doesn't have the balls to stand on his own two feet. GM is very slow to realize he's being ill-used and should throw the ungrateful brat out on his keester! GM can find a more worthy person to help.

Grab your bank accounts and throw the guy out. You are being taken for a ride! You are just another ridiculous middle aged gay trying to recqapture your youth. Take a look around, there are plenty of middle aged guys looking for a winner like you.

Sounds like he is wanting you for his self and is maybe afraid to confess to it and is jealous of the fact that you may start doing some of the things that you do for him for someone else. Don't sweat it because after all you're doing all you can to help him and if all he's got to do is insult you then he must be very jealous of the fact that your the bigger person to wanna help and he knows he contributes nothing!

Sure he is, why wouldn't he. The gay male should stop degrading himself and toss this loser out. There are plenty of young gay men more worthy of this sort of support.
