In Hawaii . . . about 1200 degrees Celsius.
At Mount St. Helens . . . about 900 degrees Celsius.

Therefore the melting point of steel is higher

The picks or rock hammers scientists use to scoop up chunks of molten rock from lava flows in Hawaii or something are made of steel . . . and if steel had a lower melting point than the lava . . . those rock hammers would be useless after gathering those samples.

Chunky soup in a microwave, is hotter then Molten rock and steel and I can prove it in court!!

yes lots hotter but i wouldnt recomend you put your standard thermometer in to take it temperature
