It just seems to me that we the "British tax payer"are going to feel a little sore at the final cost of Coe`s free lunches.Again as like wembley we jumped in without thinking it out properly. In these days of expensive travel why should people from say Newcastle have to travel to that god forsaken corner of London to watch a football game, as for the olympics even are lottery money will not get them out of the poo," too much Tony Blair involvment" we all know what happens when he gets involved in owt as they say up north. I predict a **** up.

Thats what I love about this country - the way we all get so proud about our country and back the initiatives which give us the chance to show the rest of the world that there is more to Britain than a bunch of lager-swilling, punch-throwing, Bush-following, Muslim-hating w@ankers.

I'm not sure I understand what the "question" was, but my answer would be this - lets start holding our government to account and make it known that as a 'super-power' we expect to be able to plan for the Olympics somewhat better than our 2nd world counterparts.

But lets also try to be proud of our nation rather than simply accepting that we're crap and wallowing in our own self pity. The Olympics is about uniting countries around the world - as such a multi-cultural society, isn't it a great opportunity to show that off!

Coe has done a good job. He got the Olympics for London.

It is a pity that New Labour could not do this without a TORY to deliver the goods.

Now New Labour is in charge of the Budget. If you think that the Millenium tent was an expensive disaster, wait 'till you see the final bill for the Olympics! You will all pay for the next 20 years.

I guarantee that the cost will be nothing like they are quoting. Eight Billion. Rubbish, I bet it costs at least twenty billion and what on earth are they going to do with it when it is all over. West Ham United playing in the Olympic Stadium in front of 500 spectators while they languish in the third Division............

You only have to look at the fiasco that was the Millennium Dome to see what is probably going to happen expense wise!
