How do I open a temporary file, please?

Question

I have downloaded modem drivers from the internet and they tell me I must now open a temporary file in which to place them. Never having before done this, is anybody able to please tell me how I open a temporary file ? Thank you.

well, u just go to open an ie page and tools--internet option--in general tab page and click temporary internet file's settings tab.
and click view objects
that will list out ur temporary internet files to u

Right click on file, open with Note Pad.

Ignore that and go to add new hardware, tell it what you are doing and then point the hardware file location to that file. After it installs delete it and you are done.
