Just read a question here about a woman stringing along and dating three men. The men don't know this. Two of the men proposed marriage. She does not want to end the relationships as she cares for and is enjoying time with each.

How is it that a person can steal or falisfy documents and they are arrested / go to jail. Yet a person can lie to anothers heart, falseify information, lie, cheat on the heart, string one along letting the other one fall in love with you while stringing along three men (as that woman stated in her question) and not have to face a judge in court for cruelty to anothers heart. Doesn't quite seem fair.

Your thoughts ?

Enlightening answers . . . Wow . . . I guess I'm more of the ' not the norm ' than I thought in that I value anothers heart as well as my own.

I of course know that relationships are a rist to venture into and one can date more than one. . . Yet, to use pet names (as that woman did) so as not to mistakenly call out a wrong name and to let two of the men stay in love with her enough to the point they each propose marriage. Each of those men think they are the only one in the relationship with her.

Appreciate answers . . . enlightening. Sad, yet enlightening.

" Tanks " . . . I'm not talking about hurt feelings or rejection...I'm talking about having an affair and the spouse not knowing till later. About..." dating " a man and later discovering he's married. When a husband / wife very clearly abuses their spouse. I wrote when one ' stomps ' on a heart . . . not simply causing some light hurt or heart ache.

Well, there are actually laws on the books in some states against
having this kind of popularity. But there are also many people, very clever people, who practice how to deceive...military, business and sales people, politicians, to name a few. Because we've been religiously taught to tell the truth, we think that lying is wrong, when for the soldier, or crooked salesman, or politician, or someone with a high sex drive, it's a skill to be mastered.
What you're saying is that you should be able to compell someone to behave a certain way, the way you want, desire, demand. While I agree with you that it's unpleasant to be lied and misled in love, I don't know how else you're going to learn about such happenings and grow up.
See, there was a time when kids didn't have to wear bicycle helmets, and there weren't any training wheels to learn with either, so they learned to be careful and to take responsibility for engaging in such things. People actually fistfought rather regularly, and a few yars before that even women carried guns to get their way. You, on the other hand, have been taught to think that if your sacred feelings are hurt...or someone is smarter or cleverer than you are...you should be able to demand redress. Maybe that's what you need to do in this case: re-dress and go home and be more careful next time.
It wouldn't hurt to learn to pay more attention to other people, too, so you know when you're getting lied to...

Has if there weren't enough lawsuits in America already?

Imagine the headlines: Woman sues man for breaking up with her

or: Guy asks girl out and gets rejected. Guy sues for emotional trauma

The mind heals but not the body.

Has she promised anything to any of them, besides her company and a good time? We take our chances in affairs of the heart that we will care for someone who doesn't care as much. Until a promise of more is made she can date as many as she likes and she doesn't have to tell them anything.
It may not be fair but if they want her they have to take that chance.

whilst on some levels I agree with you.... in reality if you could take someone to court for them breaking you heart then we would ALL be sued at one stage or another by who knows how many people.

I think the law has better things to spend it's time on than the actions of some auld slapper.
