Your pelvis is opening up to allow room for the baby's head to decend. In a small amount of cases (such as my case), the pelvis spreads so much that the pubic muscle detaches from the bone. This is incredibly painful. Look for these signs: extreme pain standing up, rolling over in bed, getting into and out of bed, getting into and out of a car, taking stairs, or putting on pants. If you notice these signs, discuss them with your doc at once. You might need to limit your activities tremendously until the baby is born. If it's just general achiness down there... nothing to worry about. Your body's getting ready.

I had the same problem my pelvis hurt really bad when I was about 28 weeks pregnant and when I asked my OB about it she told me that the babys head was getting into position and it could be a little uncomfortable. I feel your pain honey but it will be over before you know it! Good luck

Its most likely the baby pushing down. It could be a pulled muscle though. This happend to my mother when she was pregnant with me, and unfortantly it didn't go away untill she actualy gave birth.

I'm 99% sure its nothing, but to be safe, a quick chat with your dr probably is a good idea.

You hips are starting to spread, getting ready for the birth. Unfortunately you will be in a bit of discomfort until the birth.
