One thing to do is check is your outside drains. Lift the cover where your toilets go to the sewers and check it isn't blocked. Flies will breed on whatever doesn't flow freely down to the sewers.
We had lots of little flies coming into the house.

Depends on where you live. Near you is a fly breeding ground. I live on a farm and my neighbours have a dairy. Go figure why I am fighting flies all the time.

Have you got chimney stacks? My mum and dad has lots of flies in one room in particular and found that they had a dead bird stuck in the chimney. Not nice but once they discovered it, it stopped.

Flies come from maggots, maggots come from larva living on rotting flesh. Has anyone in your area gone missing?

Files are a good thing. They keep things organized. They keep history for when you need it.
