I don't think you can. Blaming the people of the country who are attacked for the attacks and saying "It wouldn't have happened if your government hadn't done this or that blah blah" is like blaming a rape victim for being raped because she was wearing a short skirt.

The Terrorist makes the choice to commit the act. noone forces them to do it. Just as a rapist may claim he only did it "because he was abused himself etc" but is ultimately reponsible for his crime.

These people are not "heroic". What they do is evil. Most of the time they are not even the "oppressed" people (like the 7/7 bombers were middle class British young men not starving Palestinians) and they were obviously open to brainwashing from those who would seek to foster such hatred in the minds of a young person that they'd go out with a bomb strapped to their body and kill themsleves and 52 innocent people.

They stop seeing people as individuals, stop valuing human life as sacred and see only political conflicts. Thats a sad and dangerous way to live.

Acts of terrorism by the likes of Bush and Zionist Israel are associated with greed and exploitation...acts of terrorism by the likes of Palestinians and other oppressed people are in response to the former, that is, terrorism begets terrorism. Prevent the cycle by working towards removing the contributing factors, injustice, poverty, real democracy, good government services in health, education, etc. instead of private profiteering by the wealthy and their corporations, and so on.
