Yes...that is why there is that term.
Usually a genetic factor they were born with. Sometimes people shut down sexually due to trauma as well.
Either way...if they want to change it...they should seek counselling or talk to their doctor. It's also okay if they don't want to change it. But it does happen and more than one might think.

for everything in this life there is an opposite...you got people that are totally moving from one person to the other spreading their social diseases all over the place and don't care.. and then the opposite type has other interests and sex just isn't one of them. It's okay, a lot of people that are focused on projects or a job just does not have time to deal with relationships and takes all types to make a world.

I don't think so... or else it is the result of something that has happened to them, I don't think people can actually be born that way. Sex, power, and money, as they all say, are the driving forces in life... sex is essential to every living being on this planet, an "asexual" person is probably very, very rare, if it exists at all, and there's a heavy chance they have certain problems. Well, that's my view on it anyway...
