yes they do have souls , espiecially dogs and cats, because the humanise themselves through out there life by being around us . when they pass they go to your loved ones because they become part of the family too.
i've had clairvoyant reading done and i allways have my pets come through in spirit .
they have spirit because they have character, all living things live on after death .xx

Human or otherwise the existence of a soul depends on what you believe! Personally I doubt the dearly departed knows or cares one way or another!

If you're going the religious route on whether or not they have SOULS, the answer is no. According to the bible animals do not contain a mortal soul, therefore do not go to heaven.
I think that's complete rubbish.
