no, there are those people that do not often need the input of others. this does not make them less intelligent. close minded, to me is often because they think things through all the way to the end and know what the outcome will be.

if you talk to a closed minded person about the end product of a situation or problem, ( not the how to get there), you may find they are not so closed minded. and in doing so you may actually be able to have some input on (the how to get there).
