I have three friends, two girls and one guy, that I love and trust more than any family member. Even though my mom and dad are really good parents and my little sis is very awsome besides lapsing into a princess attitude, I just feel like an outsider to the family. Where as this guy is like a very close brother to me, one girl I have a pure innocent love relationship with, where she does a good job dealing with me. Then the other girl I sorta have an unstable friendship love type deal.

My parents are both intelligent, and love me very much. Very open with me and willing to help me very much. Same with sis. But I still feel like I just like them because its an automatic thing that you have to love your family. I just love my friends more.

It can seem like friends are closer and in many ways they are. They will sometimes listen when our families wont. But when it comes down to some things and you have a real need, like you lose your house and have no place to live, its more likely family will be there for you than a friend. Life is better balanced out when you have good friends AND family. Youre just lucky to have both. Some people have neither.

have you ever considered the thought that maybe your love for your family is different compared to the love that you show for your mates? and since the two are different, there's actually no need to weigh the intensity of the love that you show to both parties. there are certain things that you can only do with your mates, and at the same time, there are things that you'd rather share with your family than with your mates.

i aint saying THIS is the case, but perhaps it is. ask yourself, if something terrible happens to your little sister (and god forbid nothing will), you'd get worried and contact your parents right away and ask how she is, wouldn't you, even if, say, during that time you're having a good time with your mates?

love is love. well, that's my two cents.

Try to love them equally. You know it is just that we are human beings and soemtimes things wave in a different direction. For instance I have 2 nieces and a nephew. I love my nephew and the first niece more than the second. I really hate to admit this but she just doesnt come in my mind as much as the other two, but still I give her presents and by her cakes the same time and number I give the other two and never forget their birthdays. I love them more than I love my sister.

It depends on the circumstances. Even if your family is a good one and you love your friend more there's a reason for that right?

If you love your family too than that's not bad. Maybe you need to spend more time with your family?

well, of course you should love them both, logically.

but in my opinion, i think that you should aways love your family more than anyone in the world.

Family first! it's your priority.
