That's an interesting speculations, but there is not significant scientific evidence to support that proposition, at this time.

It's more likely that a complex combination of genetic and social conditions established the gay gene in humans, many tens of thousands of years ago or longer.

We do know from Science, that the genetic proclivity to be gay does run in families, and second and third sons, born after a first son, have a greater likelihood to be gay.

This suggests a natural advantage gained from producing gay children. We do not yet have definitive proof of this advantage's exact nature, but we have strong knowledge of it's function.

For example, families with gay sons, are also more likely to produce straight sons who are loyal to their wives. This suggests that the 'gay gene' might make some sons gay, while it makes other sons faithful in marriage.

So to eliminate the 'gay gene' might also elimante faithful husbands, and who would want that?

Some of the most intelligent and successful people have been gay. So it's nothing new. Gay people have more time to spend on other things because they (typically) aren't spending time on close-minded bigoted children (like some people respnding to this question), which gives them more time to excel in their fields whether it be sport or academia.

Don't fool yourself son, homosexuality is the way of the fututre.
Men know what men want, and babies will be produced when two loving couples come together for the DESIRE to have a child. There will be no child abuse and no accidental pregnancies in the future son, all children will be loved and cared for by 2 sets of parents. This will also act as a smart way to start bringing the population down to a manageable level, unlike the overcrowding and overpopulation and pollution that we see today.

Heterosexuals have a lot to answer for.

It all comes down to how a person is raised. Of course society values the beautiful people more than the intellectual - the beautiful person looks more approachable in many cases. However not all supposed beautiful people are intellectually challenged. As long as parents teach their children the difference between right and wrong, the importance of hard work, and do not spoil them then the person should turn out alright. The human race will never end up a bunch of beautiful shallow fools because not everyone is considered to be pretty to all people plus we need intelligent people to keep society in order.

What about animals who have homosexual relations? Are they adapting to a more complicated civilization as well?

You're question is odd, and I'm afraid all serious, knowledgeable will answer in the negative, and that sexual orientation has nothing to do with the complexity of society. But, if you have an argument behind this theory, I'd be interested in hearing it.

I believe that homosexuality is the result of the mind not being able to cope with modern civilization.

There's nothing complicated about two men living together.

When homosexuals can reproduce I'll considered it an evolutionary adaptation. Until then it's just sexual deviance.
