i recently had intercourse with my fiance (whom i do not live with and i have feared that he has been cheating on me) and as soon as we were done my vagina became severly swollen and now 2 days after that i have had this funky discharge that is light brownish yellow and has an awful odor. my mother has told me it may be a natural part of the pregnancy but to keep an eye on it, i was just wondering if any other women have experienced this kind of discharge this early in the pregnancy and if it was an infection which i know could lead to a miscarriage or if it was normal please only serious replies.

Hi! I'm 9 weeks, too! Congratulations.

A golden discharge early in pregnancy can be normal, but the symptoms you have described do not sound normal! It definitely sounds like an infection. I had an unpleasant discharge a couple of weeks ago and it was diagnosed as an infection. I was told that it's easier to get infections during pregnancy because your hormones are rampaging. Also, vaginal infections aren't known to cause miscarriages but if you have contracted an STD you could pass it on to your baby. You should see your doctor as soon as possible.

Also, I really feel it's important to have protected sex. You've got to take care of yourself so that you can take the very best care of your baby! Good luck and God bless!

That does not sound normal, it sounds like some kind of infection, you might have contracted from having sex with your fiance. I'd go to the doctor, it could also be from pregnancy a lot of woman get infections when they're pregnant from all the hormones and it messed with the PH balance of your vagina. Go see a doctor.

Sounds like an infection. Why in the world didnt you use protection if the guy is sleeping around on you? I hope you make better choices when it comes to the baby.
