we are 50, have no medical problems and both of us love sex.

Give it time, don`t rush. Just start out by cuddling and kissing and stop there, next time take it a little farther and so on, Then the time will arrive when u won`t want to quit and it will happen spontaneously. Perhaps both of u r nervous since this relationship is new and maybe neither of u have had sex for some time and thats the reason it didn`t work. But it will, if u both feel deeply for one another. Just let it happen on its own time.

This means neither you nor her is ready for a sexual relationship. My advice to you is to keep it friendly at first. Yes cuddle , kiss hold each other but put brakes on the sexual side until you and she feels ready for it.

i think nerves is one of the things that make make things....not work. just relax. have some wine or try some roleplay. have an aphrodisiac i.e. oysters. things should be fine
