Obviously the best thing to do is live in Japan or Korea, but that's not always an option.
The second best thing to do is take a class. Although you want to learn both Korean and Japanese, I think the best thing to do is to choose one of them and learn it first. Japanese and Korean have very similar grammatical structures. They are both SOV (subject object verb) languages, and both rely on levels of politeness. Once you learn one of them, you will be able to learn the other much faster, because you will be used to the language's structure.
If you try to learn both at once, it will be confusing, and you will probably struggle a lot. Learning both at the same time will actually slow down your learning and make both languages difficult to understand. If you learn one before the other, you will learn both languages at a much higher level of understanding.

I've been to both countries for extented periods. I found that in both countries the people are very proud of their language and culture. They love to share it with you and gladly help you learn their language. The absolute best way to learn either language (or both) would be total emersion. Look into becoming an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher over there. Many Americans do two or three year 'teaching tours' over there. It's a great two-cultural exchange opportunity.

A very good jumping off point is to learn the spelling, grammar and syntax of your own language first.

Submersion programs are best. If you can do a homestay for a year in each country where there are no other, or not many people who speak your language, YOU WILL LEARN THEIR LANGUAGE!
Good luck!
