I don't think money is the problem; I believe there would be social classes even if there weren't money. (And, I think there is no way [in the foreseeable future] that we are going to figure out a way to do away with money.) The roots of evil are in our human nature. We behave in evil ways because they are often successful in getting us what we want, but it's an instant gratification type thing. We don't see that in the long run the costs outweigh the benefits. We don't have the vision to realize that the best way is striving for an understanding of each other. If we could reach a certain level of understanding, understand each other, and understand our situations, then we could understand that mutual cooperation is our best option. How much energy do we spend in vain, butting heads, trying to take advantage of each other? Where does that get us? How far could we get if we were all pulling in the same direction, all for one, and one for all?

Strongly disagree. Without money, people would barter for goods and services. But the logistics of that sort of trade are far more wasteful than moving little coins and pieces of paper around, and even that is more logistically wasteful than electronic financial transactions. Imagine if you ran a bowling ball factory. Every time you wanted to buy something you would have to drive up in a truck loaded with bowling balls. How much fuel would you waste?
Also, people would tend to hoard things that have a real value and purpose, like gold, or even everyday things like food and water. Farmers would save up their grain to buy a new tractor, for example. If you keep money in the bank, nobody suffers. If you keep food in the bank, somebody goes hungry!

Present educational system is having problem in its fundamentals. It is only teaching us "How to earn Money for our livelihood?". It has failed to educate man on how to live in this world. It is making man more materialistic, more selfish and away from the true path of life. One example is today's Medical studies. Before 20 years people who get good merits will enter Medical college to study M.B.B.S. These elite people when they come out will become real doctors who render service to humanity. But today people who are even unfit to pass High School can become a doctor, if they have 25 Lakhs Indian Rupees. Such people who come out of the college as Doctor will first think how to get back his 25 Lakhs first. Everything else will become secondary. That is why we hear the news "Kidneys stolen by Doctors". Even we heard a news where the Tuition Teacher has raped his school student. Lady teacher having affair with the school boy. And so on. Today in schools, the students are exposed to all sorts of bad things like sex, crimes etc. Solution is man has delinked religion from his life. He made religion as some customs & practises done during certain times. He is thinking God needs his prayers, his offerings. Religion & God should control every moment of man's life. Otherwise he will go astray.

Yup, money is one of the root causes. But I think the main evil comes from within us, the so-called intelligent beings. Greed - we never ever have enough of everything and anything. Why can't we just live in peace and harmony with each other?

Some people think that "Money is evil", which is then criticized by millionaires. Actually the true statement is "love of money is root of evil". Or, just as you said: GREED!
The most important thing is we should be fair, humble, and considerate. We can start from ourselves, how we behave in our lives

the reason that things are so corrupt these days is that the proper, more important values weren't instilled in a generation or two. values are intangible elements that can't be measured like material things. the distribution of said values were sorely interrupted by such things as two world wars and a depression.
as a result we end up with the following generations who's parents thought they were doing them good favor by erasing any needs by supplying their every whim, almost. thus we end up with a populace who's yardstick of life is possessions or material wealth.
because life skills and values were deformed, if you will, we have generations who, in essence "know the price of everything but don't know the value of anything. people used to accept such gifts as maybe a poem and be overjoyed to receive it because it was created with, say, pure love. if somebody made you something to wear as a gift, its value was immeasurable and it was, of coarse, cherished.
we can't go back to those days when life was simple. everything has advanced so overwhelmingly. the only thing that i wish would stop growing is rock and roll. it's becoming an atrocity in its very growth.
i'm not sure where your head is at concerning values and "the good life" and all but i believe that there is a god who, if He's permitted, will watch over us and protect us from evil. i also believe that evil is perpetrated by one known as Satan. also that humanity shouldn't be fighting amongst ourselves, we should be battling Satan with God's help.
these are a few of my thoughts. i don't usually open up and share in this fashion but as much as a person needs to learn when to duck, one must also learn to share.....yeah? i wish you peace of mind in your life. i value it as the ultimate goal.

Is rain evil? I don't see how, but when it rains too much....or when it doesn't rain at all....
Is the ocean evil? I don't see how, but what about a Tsunami?
How can money, or anything else, be evil? How can a computer, or a tv set, or anything be evil?
I'll tell you what's evil...People that make these things look evil...
When the Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil(1Ti.6.10) is not talking about how evil money is, but about how evil people are; for money cannot love, but people love money and they use it for all kinds of evil stuff.
....For those who believe in this....Matt. 10.17...Beware of men.....He didn't say beware of money, or beware of......but beware of MEN...
People are wicked, not money.
