Seriously though this is a proper phobia and not as rare as one might think. it is commonly called Testudophobia, derived from the latin for tortoise. our members will be happy to help with your problem by introducing you to some of our little friends. tortoises make wonderful pets and companions. happy tortoising!!

testudophobia

latin: testudo=tortoise

for verification of this, check the genus/species/family name on any number of tortoises. Also, the Roman military formation testudo is named after the tortoise it resembles.
