gender is more than likely to come from the father, however it is a fifty-fifty shot no matter who the father is. my father had four boys and so far, i have two girls. it's all chance.

My husband has 5 brothers--and i've gone as far back as 5 generations and there were NO girls--not one. When we had our first child--yep, a boy! Two of his brothers have one son each (3 have decided to have none at all) but, 2 years later we did have the first girl ever born to his family--it was wonderful and so exciting to wait and see what she would look like--we used to joke that she was the family experiment! But, really, who knows? A blessing is a blessing no matter the gender!!

NO .
Everything depends on on what day was the egg fertilized . If it eas right before the ovulation that if will be a girl m if right after the ovulation - it should be a BOY .

I find this subject very interesting so I went to 3 seminars about it ........than spoke with my doctor , she gave me a " gren light " and I ORDERED A BOY .

And guess what ? My gorgeous , 6mo son is sleeping peacefully in his crib now .......

I am currently reading "What to Expect When You're Expecting", and that particular book states that sperm carrying the female chromosome tend to have a shorter lifespan that the sperm carrying the male chromosone. The "female" sperm tend to be stronger swimmers than the "male" sperm. It mostly depends on your egg. If it releases say, the day after intercourse, chances are the female sperm have died, and the male sperm will make it to the egg. If the egg is already waiting to be fertilized when you have sex, chances are, you will become pregnant with a girl.
