Hi I am 23 weeks pregnant and can feel the baby moving and kicking for about 3 weeks now. My question is- when did you/or should you feel the baby move on the outside?

I suppose it would depend on how large or thin you are to begin with, I was quite large (ie an nice layer of fat around my middle!) and I felt my baby move -on the outside - at around 19 - 20wks. That was mainly with the hard kicks though. It's different for everyone, some babies don't kick at all and they're fine, others try to kick the bejeezus out of you! Enjoy your pregnancy, you're at the best part :0)

How soon you feel movement depends on a lot of things. The thinner you are, the sooner you will feel him or her. I felt most of my children at 14 weeks. I was very thin. The reason you feel the movement is because the baby pushes on your skin. The more flesh between your uterus and your skin, the longer it takes. I don't know the answer to your question about feeling movement on the outside, because I think that depends on who is doing the feeling. With my second child, I was visiting my girlfriend who is blind, and it was right at 14 weeks, and she could feel the movement. But then, she was more sensitive to feelings because she was blind and had learned to use her other senses more. You just have to ask different people to feel. You can tell them if the baby is moving or not, and then ask them if they feel anything. Feeling movement is one of the most thrilling parts of pregnancy, don't you think? You will always cherish those feelings, and you will miss that when you have been pregnant for the last time and that baby has been born.

some women can feel the baby move frm 18 weeks but some can feel it after 20 weeks or so,it depends frm women to women, whereas in terms of first pregnancy some women can feel it a little later also,as they don't really understand what they are feeling
