It is said that in a democracy people rules but what happens is once the leaders get elected they rules like dictators till their term ends. People have no power in their decisions. Should the voting process be made online, so that people can any time change their votes if needed, and redecide their leaders if they perform poor or goes against the wish of majority people.

Democracy is what we have in public.

Anarchy is what we have on-line.

(Both are the rule of the people.)

First I am for the Republic and against On-line Democracy, our nation is a Republic this is important so states rights can be honored. I am not in favor of people who live on the left coast, or the northeast running the show, this shows the wisdom of our founding fathers in the structure of this great nation.

Plus, on the lighter side, if there where to me Democracy, I would only support it if there was a minimum IQ required for voting.

The most important thing in a democracy is what is the question (to be voted on) and who asks it, not the actual voting process itself.

A online voting system would be full of inane stupid insipid questions, put in such a way as to ensure a certain result.

With out interfering excessively in governence every adminstrative act can be made to be available on line. Best way is that every citizen should be provided with a terminal which can be installed in the house. The terminal could be given identity number both for the citizen and the terminal. With that citzen can be connected to the server maintained by the government. This will enable the citizen to operate from the house. Education, liberary, tax payment, banks, property matters name it every thing can be online.

Me and my wife were discussing this the other day people should be able to go online and vote for anything and everything there is no need for a congress or senate anymore with the technology we have. The only downfall is security making sure that only one vote can be cast and that only citizens can vote and that the voting site maintenance companies are watched with a hawks eye
