I love the people who say "GOD...Big Bang is just a theory"! Hahahahaha...as if the two MUST be mutually exclusive? Please...
Oh, and by the way, the answer to your question: Big Bang. You asked HOW the universe was created...not WHY is was created. The answer to that second question might very well be "God".

You have every reason to be not satisfied with the "Big Bang" theory. The main problem with the big bang theory is that it cannot explain what happened before the big bang. I mean, what existed before the big bang ? To answer this I support the "Steady State" theory, as it explains the Universe has always existed and always will. At least it eliminates the problem of what existed before the big bang, because it states the Universe has always existed !

To put it briefly, the Big bang theory -- they say it started as an infinitely small point of infinite density (think of a BB that weighs a trillion pounds, except the BB is much smaller, and weighs a lot more). All of the energy inside that point exploded outward and created space and time. There was nothing before that. THere was no "before" before that, because there was no time.
I have to agree with you, though... I don't find much satisfaction in that either. It must look much better when explained in numbers.

Background radiation is the main impetus of the "Big Bang" theory. It seems to be the most compelling explanation yet. Nobody really knows.

As Albert Einstein studied the universe more and more he is quoted as saying that some supreme being existed.
