Number 4!
But dress it up a little.
Do the steak and ale at home or bring home the Burger King if that is what you think will flip her burgers. Serve it romantically in a lovely candle lit setting... Unplug the phones. This is your time to be alone with her, no interruptions. She is to do the same thing.
only perhaps supply a salad and and very good quality desert preferably one that can be eaten erotically...grapes, fruit..
Whatever you think your woman would enjoy best... and that will give you the most freedom to be yourselves. Home is nice because you can be romantic ... er... spur of the moment. You do not have to worry about transportation.
Have a nice body oil to share massages perhaps. Although, ANY woman will follow a man anywhere if he massages her feet throughly! Guaranteed.
But a restaurant is nice because you get to ... build up tension and flirt. Then get to the oils.
Don't forget the flowers. Roses are highly over rated. She will know she is loved by the time you are done. Whatever kind she likes, or a special treat like a lily. They can last for months and months.
What a good hubby you are!
LOL Winny has a point about the clean up. That is a biggie!
Have a wonderful night.

Depends what kind of food your wife likes. When I did a dinner party last I made a goats cheese and onion tart with balsamic vinegar and my guests loved it. Alternatively baked camembert with a bread roll and cranberry chutney/sauce is nice. Beef wellington is always nice for a main. For dessert women usually love anything chocolatey or caramel. White chocolate mousse is quite easy to make and tasty, as are strawberry shortcakes with cream. My favourite though is raspberry bombe. If you can get an angel cake tin line it with melted butter and crush up some amaretti biscuits to the sides, put the tin in the freezer. Whip up some cream, add in dark chocolate drops, some more crushed amaretti biscuits, some crushed meringues, and some chopped up raspberries, and stir the mixture. Add the mixture into the lined angel tin, and stick in the freezer. Take out when ready to serve and servce with raspberry coulis - made from fresh blended raspberries, lemon to taste, and icing sugar taste (mixed).

Order take-out from Outback or Applebee's. Serve it at a candlelit table for two at home with her favorite wine. After dinner, give her a personal massage or foot rub whichever she prefers and spend the rest of the evening cuddling on the couch to and Enya or Dido CD. (NO TV!)

Take her to a nice hotel, get a room for the night, order room service, and don't forget to have roses on the bed, and bubbles n the tub, and hand feed her chocolates!!
OR do your #4
Best be expensive steak and mushrooms, and fine wine and roses, and chocolate cake, and roses.
and give her a nice hot bubble bath, and dry her off and then give her a massage oil.
change the bedding so it's like hotel crisp and clean.
#5 Book a hotel and order room service!!!!

Larren, the ladies have the right stuff, do as they suggest. Make the night just for her. Let her know that NOTHING will get in the way. As far as anyone else is concerned, the two of you have left planet earth and will be back the next day. You really need to yank out the "stops" for her and make it all very special for her. What ever it costs, NEVER mention it. Just never say a word about it.

I think 3 or 4 are great ideas. However, 3 sounds appealing because then you don't have to spend so much time making dinner and then cleaning it up...if you do 3 then you guys can spend more time together!

You should do it yourself. And don't forget the decadent chocolate dessert (which you can buy ahead of time) But, it only counts if you also do the clean up...even if it is the next day. But if you wait till the next day at least neaten things up nicely.
