When we see through many channels in TV media, we found 98% of the countries keep their streets and cities very clean! I think they feel their land, like their Home itself!! But, here we never care for our public places, like bus stands, rail way stations, rivers, roads and streets, and keep on throwing all ugliest dirts, and never even feel to remove out any! Even our brothers work in municipalities, not taking much care to sweep and kept clean for this is our Mother land!

My questions is:

WHEN DO WE HAVE SUCH "CIVIC SENSE", AND FEELING AS IT IS OUR MOTHER LAND?
AND, WHEN WILL THE DAY COME TO SEE OUR INDIAN LAND LIKE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES AND THEIR BEAUTIFUL APPEARANCE?

Be a good son or daughter of mother India by (some of the measures can be as follows):
1. if you think, you knew better to keep an area clean, take some time to teach others.
2. Show to them yourself by implementing before them, instead of stopping with an advice.
3. Bring out the differences of wasting water, spoiling the land and polluting the atmosphere but how all three finally bring out a tota collpase of the environment. (By telling them for waste disposal of solids, liquids and gases.-- Use of chimneys with adequate height.
4. Use suggestion boxes kept in various places and share your experience for further improvement in keeping places clean and green.
5. Conservation of water and not soling the land with either water or oil is the first step and followed by not throwing solid items/polythene in open drains. By which pollution of land can be overcome.
6. Don't throw the above items in open wells, small streams,. rivers to avoid polluting the air, Government's help will be required for not letting liquid waste like dyes, chemicals from industries in to water ways.
7. Adequate heights of chimneys will be required in industries to let their gaseous exhaust and also from cement factories.
8. Relocating people who matter to appropriate places is major to bring out the appperamce of a city.
9. All new layouts should have roads of not less than 12 metres and enough space for planting of trees on either side of the road.

I have answered your other Q? and all I have said there holds good here too. Only Individual commitment can cure this, or solve this problem. They cannot pass law when they do not have proper facilities. I am including my answer for the others benefit. ****************************** Answered by me. minootoo India will put a man on the moon soon but it just does not have enough public toilets or for that matter private toilets. Same is the case with garbage cans. Your observation is correct but even women have to relieve themselves and they do. Only thing about them is their anatomy and the dress(sary, gagera) they just pretend to seat down and in few minutes are gone. As the saying goes "do in the Rome as the Roman do". I am glad that they are not doing what is normal in India, and throwing rappers every where and peeing all over, when they are in different cultures. Even in our culture I have seen people relieving, this is because they have to and some time they may have a condition so they just have to go. You may have seen it in the parks. We do have Porta-Poty in the parks but natures call must be answered some just cannot wait.

We, Indians should become more patriotic to our great nation than to our own self with its craze for wealth, power and lust then automatically our present attitude of living in filth would no longer be there.
