Hello Synergomachines,

Six Sigma black belt certification requires 3+ years of work experience along with two completed projects. Similarly Green Belt certification requires 3 years of work experience. For details, you can refer to http://www.asq.org/education/training/certification-right-for-you.html

As a starting point, you may point your daughter to http://www.discover6sigma.org/ and http://www.asq.org/sixsigma/beginner/index.html

These web site contain some good material for beginners. She can initiate a self study and once she acquires workex, she can join a course in India.

Hope it helps you...

Warm Regards,

SKS

Another update:
ASQ, in conjunction with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), has scheduled its next Six Sigma Black Belt training course in New Delhi. The dates of the course are April 2-14, 2007 & June 4-15, 2007.

For more details on the above, please contact Amit Chatterjee at FICCI headquarters. He can be reached by e-mail at amitc@ficci.com
