I believe its thirty days. Your eviction notice should stipulate the time you need to vacate by.

The formal eviction notice will have a response date that you must file your answer to the suit with the court. This is typically just a few days. If you intend to defend the suit, file your answers immediately. If you don't know what to do, the court clerk will help you but won't provide legal advice.

Once the date passes, the suit will be placed on the court docket (whether you responded or not) usually within a week or two. If you responsed to the suit, you appear on the day and argue your case. If you didn't respond, the landlord will win by default.

If you win, it's over. Go home. No eviction.

If the landlord wins (by default or on the merits) a judgement is entered against you. The landlord files that with the sheriff. Within 7 - 10 days the sheriff will arrive at your door and put you and your belongings in the street. At this point the landlord is free to change the locks and re-let the property.

Depending upon the reason, an eviction in TX takes 30 - 90 days total, from initial notice to quit to your and your stuff sitting in the street.

I can't say for sure about TX, but in OH, TN, NJ, PA and other states I would say the time between being served with eviction papers and physical eviction is about 20-40 days.
There should be a court case on file, go to the local court to see if an eviction date has been set.
If you are physically evicted by a baliff they will move your property to the curb, or order you off the property. The landlord may or may not have to keep your property for a given time, but considering you didn't pay your rent I would not expect him to be to concerned about your stuff.
The best idea is for you to try to negotiate some settlement. Don't forget if court judgement for eviction is rendered that will go on your credit report, and will hinder future rental activities.
