No, it's not true. They're about the same, but the maximum size of a Tiger is larger than a lion. Lions weigh 330-550 lbs. Tigers weigh 220-660 lbs.

it's a close call. male lions are quite a bit larger than a female lion whereas a female tiger outweighs a male tiger. a female tiger is bigger and more powerful than a male lion howerver a male lion is much more aggressive. i would have to see that fight to have an opinion either way.

No. It's not true. Most species of tigers are larger as well as stronger than lions. (You should watch Animal Planet.)
