We have a wireless router that works, and two of us are connected to it. Our third roomate is having trouble connecting, but she has all the same settings as we do. Also, there are times when my computer doesn't detect the wireless setting, even sitting in the same room, what could be the problem?

well many wireless routers loose conection from time to time
but check to see if yours will allow 3 users because i know that mine is a belkin54g and it will allow like 60 users if you have linksys i know your roomate can connect but you know his computer may not have a wireless chip or usb if its a laptop you can install a chip that will pick it up also with a desktop but you can get a usb receiver as well
good luck

The problems you describe could be due to all sorts of things. However, a wireless modem should cope easily with three PCs. In most cases the link speed is way faster than your internet connection speed, which is what actually governs the data rate delivered to each PC.

Do you have other transmitting gear nearby? Any phones?
Cordless Phones? Did you read the manual that is in the circular file and on the web?

Wifi located at least ten feet from any telephone, microwave, or pace maker?

while you're working a Linksys WiFi router, then that's the community you're able to hook up with. If no longer, then somebody is working one extremely close to to you. in case you're able to desire to do somewhat looking around on your wifi settings, merely top click the community icon in the tray and open the relationship communication.
