The cheapest would be hitch-hiking. Depending on lifts it could take a week. Buses are cheap but they will take four or five days and if you are tall they are uncomfortable. Flying varies a lot in price. Check out Qantas and Jetstar and, if you must, Virgin Blue. Be flexible with dates and times and you could find some bargains.

depending on when you will go, the best way to get there is to fly. Try virginblue.com.au for prices of flights. it would take about 3-4 hours. driving there or getting a bus would take a long time (3-4-5 days) and would probably not be much cheaper. driving would probably be much more expensive with the price of petrol....
