Here's how to do them, memorize this:

IS over OF equals PERCENT over 100.
Then cross multiply.

So, what is 175 PERCENT OF 85?

IS/OF = %/100

x/85 = 175/100

100 x = 14875

x = 148.75

Get it?

In your second question, you have the "IS", and the "PERCENT", and so you're looking for the "OF".

76 IS ... 80 PERCENT

76/x = 80/100

7600 = 80 x

x = 95

etc etc

For the future, let me tell you a little secret:
Put the numbers in one column and the percentages in the other column, using x for what you do not know, like this:
# %
76 80
x 100

Then, make a cross and have each part of the cross, like this:
80*x = 76*100

Solve for x:
x = (76*100)/80
x = 95

Same thing for the other ones:
# %
42.88 100
x 50

100*x = 42.88*50

x = 21.44

# %
96 160
x 100

160*x = 96*100

x = 60

# %
24 100
72 x

24*x = 72*100

x = 300

Each of the x would be the solution for each of your questions
