trying, trying to make it up all anew. People think he's denying, denying the fact that he will never make it through. And now he's out there dying, dying because he knows he doesn't have a future like you! Help the homeless please.

although we know it is not true
That the people that surround us
feel the same way that we do
We can send billions of dollars
to other countried to help them out
yet pass one of our brothers
starving on the street shouting out!
as long as the white house is filled
with a person that doesn't care
our homeless will go untreated
and it will never ever be fair
people must remember that their day may also come
when the people they call friends
would turn around and call them bums!
It could happen to any one of us
and for this reason I thank God
that he gave to me compassion
if only hatred could be outlawed!

What does that tell you about the safety nets in our society?

people speaking negatively of the homeless generally don't participate in humanitarian activities. even just giving to United Way (in the USA) or Red Cross makes a difference in a myriad of community resources available.

How do you know he is really homeless? It could be all just an act so he can get money for drugs. It's hard to trust homeless people.

The people who really are homeless need to stop crying and complaining and do something about it. If they give up and do nothing about it..nothing will ever get better for them. They can get jobs...the jobs they can get may not pay much...but it's a start. You got to start somewhere.

I did. He spent the money I gave him for food on drugs. I know this cuz I followed him. Hes on his own.
