The term déjà vu (French: "already seen", also called paramnesia) describes the experience of feeling that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously. The term was created by a French psychic researcher, Emile Boirac (1851-1917).

You know I would almost certainly beleive what Jupe XII answered on this one but yet something is still wrong with that. In a state of De Ja Vu, there is an instance of uncertainty beside just feeling like youve been there before. A dual impulse would not give you diverse effects, they would be the same. To have two of the same impulses in the brain will only heighten the experience of "the now" rather than give you a sense of two time periods.

I believe that de ja vu is merely the act of feeling like you have been there before because in fact, you have been in a manner of speeking. Just as you enter a room many many times, or say certain sentences over and over again in your lifetime, the odds are not that off that you would happen to do multiple things simutaniously that you have done before in that exact same way and in the exact same place or a place similar to it.

For example: you often walk into a livingroom while holding a drink and asking "whats on next", therefore what are the odds that this same thing would occurr over and over again in the exact same way. De ja vu is like that but involves a more complicated event such as what I just mentioned as well as someone sitting in the same spot, doing the same or similar thing they were soing last time, the temperature in the room the same and more all simutaniously.

It is a bit difficult for the mind to comprehend such adds occurring when a situation like this happens because, yes, in a way the brain is receiving two of the same impulses... but not because of the same event. You are receiving two of similar impulses causing you to be temporarily confused as to why, for the next few seconds, you are unable to break from this repetitive occurrence even as you are witnessing it.

Deja Vu is not a disease, it is not significant. Deja Vu means that the past is repeating itself and some people can make it happen at will.

Basically it's a mental glitch, whereby your thinking process is shut down for a brief moment, erasing your memory in consciousness of the data your brain just processed a moment earlier. What we believe we are experiencing for the first time is actually the same event we experienced before the glitch. Giving us the impression that we have had the expereience in the past. With no previous memory of it. Definately not a disease, it's a relatively common accourance. Nothing special.

I have thought of this very thouroghly. 1. could be the chemical dopamine in the brain being processed twice causing an echo in your mind. when we dont understand our mind these things can confuse us. 2. Could be a message from some unknown entity telling you you are on the right path or... trying to cooerce you to believe something. Think about the deja vu when it happens and try to gain a message.

No it is the spirit in you or your intuition leading and guiding you and reminding you of things that happened in the past, so dejavu is when you find your self in a place and suddenly remember you were there before!
