my favorite type of pans. i use a steel wool pad (not too coarse). a little soap. if it has been there for some time, i have also filled the vessel about 1/4 - 1/2 of the way with water, add a drop or two of dish soap. heat on the stove. remove and make sure it is cool enough to handle. use the steel wool with more dish soap and give a good scrub. they will look shiny clean again. this is the only way to go. great on cookie sheets too! good luck.

good news, since they are stainless steel, you could soak the pots in baking soda and water so it forms a paste and then use a wire scrubber to clean. Other materials could be scratched seriously, but stainless steel might get scratched, but it doesn't ruin the pot

Dab vinegar on the surface to be cleaned. It should be runny, not dry. May even pour the vinegar over it. Immediately sprinkle bakig soda on surface. It will bubble up. Set item aside for 5 minutes. clean it off with hot, soapy cloth. Wash as usual. If the spots don't come completely off, this may have to repeat until they do.

Put hot water in the pan along with one or two fabric softener sheets. Let it soak overnight. It comes off very easily then.
