when I say goldfish, I mean fish like that, as I want to get my first fish, so something small and simple would be great.

Also, when I say fish bowl, I meant a small bowl, not a huge aquarium, just one big enough for two fish.

Ok! Rule of thumb. 1" of fish per gallon of water for fresh water. Your best bet if you want 2 goldfish, is to buy one of the 5 gallon starter kits. They do not make bowls big enough for 2 gallons of water. Anyway...

If you wanted at betta. You get get a betta, bowl, and some pretty rocks and food for rough $15 bucks. Depending upon where you go.

You absolutely cannot keep two goldfish in one tiny bowl. You cannot keep any living thing in a tiny bowl. Tiny bowls are for marbles, potpourri, candles or your hair doo-dads. Goldfish require 10 gallons of water minimum per fish. Even a betta, which can handle the smallest amount of water shouldn't be put in anything less than a 1 gallon tank, and I would prefer at least a 2.5 gallon tank. Spend the money you were going to spend on this horrible setup on a present for yourself because at least you'll have that longer than a couple of weeks. If those two poor goldfish live two weeks I would be surprised!

Well at my local pet store (in Australia) a goldfish costs $4 and small bowl costs around $20. I would say around $30 for 2 goldfish and a small, plain glass bowl. That doesn't include food or stones or any accessories you might like to put in the bowl with the fish.

I bought my baby brother 2 small goldfish and a little bowl (used for beta fishes) the fish were 30 cents a piece and the bowl was 3 dollars, so about $4.00 However one fish died within the week. I

f you want a longer lasting fish buy a beta fish (MALE) I've had 4 and they usually last for a year or over they cost about $4.00 and a bowl can cost you anywhere from $5.00 to $10.00 depending on the size. ($10.00) I've purchased them at walmart and spent less than 10 dollars on a fish and bowl. Beta fishes (MALE) also come in different colors and are beautiful and they have long fins! (FYI don't put 2 male betas in same bowl, they kill each other)

*If you buy a beta buy pelet food, if you get a gold fish buy flakes!
*Female betas are not a pretty, they have short fins and well aren't pretty, you can put it in with a male beta.

Listen to Venice girl, she's the only one with fishy sense in here.
Goldfish put out a lot of waste and need a lot of care because of that. You'd have to constantly do partial water changes to keep the ammonia levels tolerable. Get a real tank if you're serious about keeping fish. Any pet will require some amount of care and if you're not willing to provide that buy yourself something else with the money.

Bowls should cost dollars. One bowl is big enough. Don't forget to declorine the water. ask Pet store what to get.

Goldfish are pretty low maintenace, probably not more than $20 total for 2 fish, a bowl, a plant, gravel and food. You could also get a Betta, they are pretty cheap and easy to care for...

where I live, a goldfish is about one to five dollars, depending on where you're buying it. If you're talking about one of those small bowls, then it's probably about 20 to 50 dollars. Fish supplies aren't that expensive. Hope I was of some help. This is my first answer! ^_^
