...interested in music again? With the Grammy Awards coming up, I realize I am completely out of the music scene. I don't really listen to music even though I have an MP3 player and radio, I just listen to talk radio all day because I don't like what is on the radio nowadays. Back in the day I used to like Alternative Rock stuff like 311 and also some rap and other similar music. I think the last CD I bought was a Mike Jones CD, and that was just because I thought that it was funny.
What are some good bands or possibly online subscription or online radio that would get me interested in music again? I feel that I need some fresh music in my life again but I have no clue where to find any good bands or the like. Any and all serious responses would be appreciated.

I subscribe to Rhapsody. Rhapsody has some programming problems and downloading music to mp3 is still a mystery I haven't had the time to solve but it's sufficient to burn CDs.

Hilltop Hoods are a really cool aussie hip hip act. Ther are Quite a few good aussie hip hop groups these days; Muph n Platonic, Bliss n Esso, etc. Triple J streams online and have heaps of cool music

you can check out http://www.last.fm . You put in a band or music type and it plays that type music, gives you names of band/album/song etc.
