You don't have to wait- depending on how comfortable you want to be. There is"recovery" period... especially if you have a c-section. With c-sections you are not suppose to drive for 6 weeks (because of the muscles you use to lift your foot from the pedal to the break).
Talk with your doctor- but there is no wait time. My husband, baby and I went on a 4 hour plane ride when the baby was 4 1/2 months old. Have fun!

I took my baby on a plane when she was only about 3 weeks old. I would of have preferred to wait a little longer but it was an emergency. Just make sure you are well prepared.

i would wait until afta the 6 month period give u time to settle and then travel u could also ring ur travel agent and ask them about travelling with a new born.

well babies in general should be kept away from malls, crowded airports, things like that for at least 2 months.. remember their immune systems arent like ours...so they can get ill fairly quickly...so i would wait till like ne where around 4-5 months...my son first traveled in a airplane at 10 months...
