You should listen to Mr.Bill. He is right when he say's it would cost a fortune to buy a bit that big for drilling glass. You could try looking at places that rent tools out. What you need is a Glass and Tile bit. They are made special to go through glass, porcelain with out cracking it. There is another bit you could use. You can use a Masonry Bit to go through glass. I don't remember how big those get but you could also look for a Masonry Hole Saw. Those are bits that cut holes into things made of Masonry. They are diamond tipped and different then the regular hole saws. They come with a mandrel that connects the bit to the drill. The different sized bits screw on and off of the mandrel. What ever bit you choose, it needs to be for Masonry. A high speed bit, or a cobalt, titanium,or any other will crack your bank for sure. Also do not drill it fast! You need to put a piece of masking tape over the place you want to drill,to keep the bit from sliding around. Drill very slow, and add a few drops of water to the spot every so often. Just remember drill SLOW-SLOW-SLOW and add water. Good Luck

That little slit on top is to put the coins in. I'd rather go for the little rubber plug on the bottom to get the goods out than break the whole thing with a hammer. Use Elmer's ceramic gue-all to put any broken pieces back.
