actually the Klan itself was bankrupted about 10-12 years ago by Morris Dees and the Southern Poverty Law Center through two major lawsuits...took their land,money,ect....anybody who pops up now isnt the true Klan but some skinhead wannabe hater who thinks the name will conjure up some sort of following.....there will always be some dozen or so fruitcakes in most of the big towns,especially in the Northeast that will parade around wearing hoods and robes,but the Klans day is done...Skinhead Aryan Nation type thugs are the ones to watch...those freaks are dangerous...Im from Mississippi also

When you say on the rise? what do you mean? Rise how their egos? Well let me tell you this? There are millions of Jews here and there are millions of Blacks as well as Spanish and Hindus, Buddhists, and they won't mean piss in a pot if they try any of that burning cross crap or attacking anyone? They my be on the rise, but at least people really see them for who they are, and that is hatemongers. The concern is that many accuse the south of this, but the link actually tells of the hate arising in the north (blue states) It just goes to show that hate is not bound by state or party lines.

eh... it seems to go up and down every 10 years or so... still a vast minority of the population, but it will grow for a while by preaching about a social issue that people are up set about (right now it's immigration) talking about how it's all your problems are actually caused by this one group of people over here...

then the problem will go to the back burner and it's numbers will shrink again...
