I have my learner's permit, but it expires in a month. I was hoping to get my license this summer. But i'm afraid I will have to wait a whole nother year and a day before I can. Will they make me wait another year, even though i've had it for almost 2?

I live in Georgia and i'm just afraid that i'll get my permit renewed. And practice driving a bit more, then make an appointment for the driving test. Then them tell me I have to wait another year because I have a new date on my permit.

Can't tell you the answer to that one. I assume that you live in USA. It has 50 states. The laws are different for each state - that is why you have to tell us what state you live in (or have the learner's permit from).

As a suggestion, why don't you call your motor vehicle department and ask them? I'm sure they'll be helpful.

You're probably going to have to renew the permit and schedule a new test date.

Just go get another learner's permit. There is no limit on how long it takes you to learn to drive well.

Learner's allow guidelines determination from state to state. obviously that's been more effective than 60 days because you receive your first allow. you've gotten to ask a DMV worker on your state even if a clean allow may commence a clean 60 day waiting era.
